    NuCore Vinyl Plank Reviews Online

After doing some research on NuCore Reviews on the web we realized that the brand doesn’t have many online reviews. Their Google score averaged 3/5 stars out of just 10 reviews. We found some good and bad reviews but It’s hard to judge NuCore with such a small database.

NuCore Flooring can be bought in all local Floor & Decor stores, alternatively, you can order online on the Floor & Decor website and have the product delivered to your home.

All NuCore products can be installed using the floating method which uses a locking mechanism and doesn’t require any use of glue or nails. Make sure you leave expansion gaps when installing the floor.

NuCore Vinyl Planks can be installed in multiple rooms throughout, without the need for transition strips between rooms.

Prior to Installation make sure that your subfloor is free from any moisture, level, and structurally in good shape. If your subfloor is uneven we recommend either installing a new plywood subfloor (at least 6mm thick) or pouring down self-leveling concrete.

    Does NuCore Flooring require Underlayment?

No, NuCore is a Rigid Core Vinyl Plank with its own attached Cork underlayment Pad. Simply put, if your existing sub-floor is level and free from moisture you don’t need extra underlayment. Just install NuCore straight over your existing subfloor.

    Care & Maintainance are key for your Vinyl Plank floor’s performance and longevity. In order to maximize the lifetime of your floor, you should follow these recommendations;

    • Clean your floors regurarly, at least once a week to remove any existing particles that may cause scratching or staining.
    • For mopping we recommend using a Bona Pro Series Luxury Vinyl Planks Mop.
    • We don’t recommend that you use vacuums (especially with beater bars) on LVP floors as they can cause damage. Instead we recommend gentle sweeping or using a dust pad.
    • Make sure to use the right cleaning solution for Vinyl Plank Floors. We recommend using Bona Pro Series luxury vinyl floor cleaner.
    • Do not use cleaning products such as multipurpose cleaner, bleach, vinegar, wax, oil, polish or other potentially harsh products.
    • Although some Vinyl Plank Brands allow it, we recommend not using steam mops.
    • Any spills should be cleaned immediately.
    • It is recommended to attach Foam Pads under furniture legs, these can be found in most local DIY stores. Ask for furnture leg pads.
    • Avoid walking on the floor in shoes. Wear socks.
    • Use door matts to avoid bringing in dirt.
    • Use Rugs in high-traffic workstations such as near computer desks.

Our favorite laminate flooring mop is the Bona Spray Mop by far. We highly recommend it for all Hard-Surface floor types. It’s lightweight and doesn’t oversaturate your floor or require a water bucket.

If you’re after a vacuum, then we recommend the Eureka Elevate Cordless Vacuum. It’s our favorite choice, quite affordable, and doesn’t hurt hard-surface floors.

    1. We had installed NUCORE RIGID CORE LUXURY VINYL PLANKS and in 4 months it’s started separating and coming apart. I would not recommend it.

    2. Purchased NuCORE flooring and had it installed by a professional flooring contractor. In less than 4 months, flooring has buckled & is lifting. No moisture issues…I do not recommend.

    3. I am a Project Developer and my customer picked out this flooring for their new sunroom. After about 6 months the flooring has buckled and so we repaired and installed new planks as needed. After another month, the same thing has happened again.

      1. Thanks for sharing your experience with Nucore. If you want a higher quality vinyl plank maybe go for Coretec Grande or Shaw Floorte Plus. Excessive sunlight exposure is something many vinyl planks can’t handle hence why they don’t cover this in their warranty at times. Always check the warranty thoroughly when going for flooring for sunrooms. Tile floors and epoxy resin can be a better alternative for these scenarios.
